In keeping with our friendly service, our rooms feature numerous thoughtful touches including fluffy white towels and bathrobes, a choice of pure mulberry silk duvets or warming Welsh wool blankets and sheets, a complimentary daily newspaper of your choice, and luxurious Myddfai Awel-Y-Mor toiletries.

The Great House is one of South Wales's most popular venues for intimate weddings, boasting numerous positive reviews from happy couples, and all the facilties for smaller, more romantic, weddings and celebrations.

With a focus on fine food, we can offer two wedding spaces of your choice as well as the option of exclusive hire of the whole house for wedding parties of up to 60 people. Steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside, your perfect small wedding awaits at The Great House.

With our splendid garden, unique character and rich history, a meeting at The Great House shows you know quality and mean business. We have a number of comfortable spaces for one-to-one meetings or larger gatherings.

Just a few miles from the M4, we're also easily accessible for delegates travelling on to a conference or meeting. We guarantee privacy, comfort and friendly individual service plus offer free on-site parking to your guests.

Events & Occasions

We have three excellent rooms able to cater for your business, birthdays or occasions, ranging in capacity from 2 to 60 people. Each comes equipped with all the necessary facilities including wireless high-speed internet access, flexible room layouts and presentation equipment, if needed.

Our Tapestry room is perfect for smaller gatherings, with our Edgar Suite better for for mid-sized groups. For larger groups and occassions, the Great Hall, which doubles as our award-winning restaurant, would be the ideal choice.

Wonderful Experience

We went for a Sunday roast. The food was lovely but what stood out was the exceptional customer service. It is rare nowadays, but everyone waiting on, was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone.
